Sat, July 17, 2004 - 6:23 AMHi Bob and All,
Bob, I got your message about joining here, but I had already joined! Just a couple of weeks back.
I had heard so much about Joe and Charlie in CT, when I was there. And we even had one J&C meeting everyweek in town.
So looking foward to learning more about it.

Re: Most helpful line in the big book
Thu, July 29, 2004 - 10:46 AMI met a guy in Akron (my first time around) who basically said the same thing about his wife. I had a similar experience, which was kindof like the early days of AA, when wives would attend meetings (all in houses). And Ann Smith was a huge influence on AA.
And my girlfriend now is huge factor in my life. I was thinking about that last night. It's odd. She helped me through a really rough time, in her own way. Taking me snowboarding, for example, when I was depressed, even though she didn't want to talk to me about it. Hmm.

Re: Most helpful line in the big book
Mon, May 15, 2006 - 5:49 PMWhat helps me these days:
"As we go through the day we pause, when agitated or doubtful, and ask for the right thought or action."
I need just that pause before I do or say something really stupid.
